David Muganzi

David is a highly motivated doctor with a passion for improving healthcare quality in Africa. He holds several leadership positions, including President of the AFREhealth student community and chairperson of the Patient-Centered Care Movement Africa (PaCeM-Afro), a student-led initiative that is advancing patient-centered care across the continent.

David has a proven track record of success, having grown PaCeM-Afro to over 1000 members across six countries and serving as the Vice President of the Federation of African Medical Students' Associations (FAMSA). He has co-founded initiatives focused on health education, mental health and climate change, and is a published researcher and recipient of the Camtech Acceleration 2022 grant.

Through his work, David is creating opportunities for health professional students to develop skills and networks while contributing to the improvement of health on the continent. His current project, which is funded by the Camtech grant, focuses on improving malaria diagnosis through data science techniques.
