Dron Mandhana

Dr. Dron M. Mandhana, an Assistant Professor of Organizational Communication at Villanova University, studies the effects of organizational spaces and time on individuals’ everyday communicative practices—from communication overload and unplanned conversations in organizations to unhurried consultations between patients and clinicians.

Currently, he is exploring the Too Much of Good Thing (TMGT) effect of various managerial behaviors (e.g., structuring and planning, creating an open communication environment) on team performance. Dr. Mandhana’s work has been published in top peer-reviewed journals such as Communication Theory, Patient Education and Counseling, Health Communication, Journal of Communication Management, International Journal of Organization Theory and Behavior, and Communication Education.

A member of the Organizational and Group Communication Divisions of the National Communication Association, he teaches courses in organizational and group communication at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
