Eric Pool

Eric Pool, Ed.D., PMP®, CCMP is Assistant Professor of Health Care Administration at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine & Science and fellow of the Mayo Clinic Quality Academy. He is also an Instructor at Harvard University and UC Berkeley. He has served on the board of directors for the Project Management Institute (PMI) La Crosse - Rochester chapter, Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Minnesota chapter, and on the Executive Committee for TEDx Zumbro River. He received his Ed.D. in Organization Development from the University of St. Thomas and MSc in Major Program Management from the University of Oxford. He also serves as an advisor to the Compathy Method organization.

Dr. Pool holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI), Change Management through Prosci, and International Project Management through the NASA APPEL program. His research is focused on Project Management and Organization Development having practiced at Mayo Clinic, Hyperloop TT, and the Google Lunar XPRIZE contestant – Earthrise Space Foundation. He has published with the American Association for Physician Leadership Journal and is a contributing author for the Mayo Clinic Inside IT and Mayo Clinic Workforce Learning newsletters. He has presented at the University of Oxford, Cal Poly University, the Project Management Summit, Nokia Corporation, and Logistics Health Inc. (LHI), a subsidiary a OptumHealth Holdings, Inc., part of the UnitedHealth Group (UHG) family of businesses.
