Overreacting?

When I was first diagnosed with a chronic illness, the doctor didn't believe me when I said I was getting worse. He wouldn't refer me to a specialist. The doctor told me and my fiancée that I must not be taking my medicines, and that I was just overreacting after being diagnosed with lupus.
