Sliding Scale Pricing
We are committed to making our Foundations of Care course available to everyone while also recognizing that The Patient Revolution needs continued support. With that in mind, we are introducing a sliding scale registration fee for our course. Detailed below are 4 payment options; pay full, pay most, pay some, and pay none. Please read all sections and use discount codes to adjust payment.

The Patient Revolution emphasizes being inclusive, generous, careful, and radical. A thoughtfully implemented sliding scale embodies all these principles:
Be Inclusive
A sliding scale makes education accessible to a diverse community of care activists from various backgrounds, including those who might otherwise be excluded due to financial constraints. This inclusivity strengthens the movement by bringing together multiple perspectives and experiences, creating a richer learning environment where patients, clinicians, caregivers, and health professionals from across the spectrum are equal participants.
Be Generous
Through the sliding scale, those with more financial resources can practice generosity by paying higher rates, knowing they're supporting others' access to education. This creates a community-supported approach to learning that reinforces the value of giving generously of our time, attention, talents, connections, and resources.
Be Careful
Implementing a sliding scale requires careful consideration of financial sustainability while still providing accessible options. This echoes The Patient Revolution's commitment to staying "alert to the possibilities of harm or unintended consequences.” Care activists should carefully design their sliding scale to ensure it supports both participant access and program sustainability.
Be Radical
Sliding scales represent a radical departure from traditional fixed pricing models. By reimagining how we value and exchange education, care activists practice the radical approach needed to "fundamentally change healthcare". This pricing model challenges conventional market-based approaches and demonstrates the possibility of alternative systems aligned with human needs rather than industrial efficiency.
With appreciation to TPR Fellow Greg Merritt for this framing.
